Operations Strategist

Amy is the Operations Strategist at HIP. In this capacity she works to strengthen our organizational practices, staff culture, and development. Amy has been with Health Improvement Partnership since 2020 and has worked in a multitude of roles, previously being a Program Manager where she worked closely with the Safety Net Clinic Coalition, Adverse Childhood Experience Integration Cohort, Continuing Medical Education, and Hepatitis C Care Cascade.

Amy was born and raised in South Central Los Angeles, California. She holds a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Urban Health Disparities from Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science and two Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Latin American and Latino Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Amy is a proud first-generation college graduate, daughter of Salvadoran immigrants, sister, aunt, and dog mom. 

Amy's lived, academic, and professional experiences combined fuel her passion for health equity, increasing culturally humble and responsive interventions, and redesigning systems. 

Amy brings a wealth of lived, academic, and professional experience, as well as curiosity, to the work she leads. During her free time, she enjoys spending time at the beach, traveling, being a sister mom and auntie, and learning more about her Salvadoran roots.
