Operations and Program Director

Berenice, born and raised in Watsonville, CA, holds a B.S. in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from the University of California, Davis. She has worked extensively in community health, addressing social determinants of health and upstream factors that improve health and reduce disparities.

 

Berenice began her journey at HIP in 2021 as an intern and has since advanced to the position of Operations and Programs Director, where she focuses on enhancing community-based care through collaboration with local organizations, securing funding, and guiding program implementation to reduce health disparities in Santa Cruz County. She consistently pursues meaningful impact through the lens of accessible and equitable healthcare.

In her free time, Berenice enjoys being a mom, playing soccer, and exploring new places.
